Teaching Chess

Teaching has always been my passion. It's how I share my love of what I do with others and get a renewed appreciation and perspective of it from my students. I was privileged to get started with my own New York City classrooms teaching chess when I was 13.

I've taught various genres of writing to all ages at various New York City and online institutions including internationally-acclaimed seminar and literary service Free Expressions, critically-acclaimed downtown theater company I co-founded and was the Artistic Director of, Slightly Altered States, with The Arc Long Island City, at Amerikids, as well as a year of free Wednesday Writing Workshops during the pandemic.

I've consulted for and produced over 2 dozen New York City productions, helping them grow from inception to stage. I've consulted for and directed other writer/performers in 1-person shows and worked as a writing editor and coach for film scripts and works of fiction and memoir.
